Slight variation of the TRX chest press in this video to place more load onto the triceps. Slow, steady and controlled wins the race!

hey guys TRX traveler Adam here I’m on the roof of my flat in Buenos Aires in this video we’re looking at the t-rex close quick chest press so we’re going to be targeting the triceps more a little bit of work at the chest a little bit of work of the front deltoids the shoulders let’s get to it okay so the key thing with a chest press is you really want to be targeting your triceps and the way we do that is we keep our hands sure the width of it’s comfortable for you but if you can move them a little bit inside shoulder width and the key thing when you press on is not to let your elbows flare it’s to keep them down by your side so you’re pushing out like that as always shoulders contracted back and pushing so you get the TRX over our shoulders and we know that the intensity is all about the feet placement right back here that’s going to be hard like this it’s going to be a little bit easier so get a comfortable spot make sure the handles are aligned and as you press down look on keep them at elbows to my sides and then I’m pressing back up and I’m squeezing at the top there and back down even now as I’m going down I’m going to rock my muscles I’m squeezing them some really squeeze the handles hard and I’m squeezing my triceps to push back up and then really squeeze that up and back down then even on this third one I can really feel my triceps already getting a bit of a pump in there three and one more and the gain elbows elbows are really close to my sides and I’m pushing back up it’s a small controlled movement and at the top I’m really squeezing my triceps it’s always quite hard to engage triceps are fine so the easiest bit to do it is at the top of TRX exercises like a skull crusher when you’re at the top or at extension so when you’re there especially on these ones you can really squeeze and try get the most out of that out of there the long and short head it does help sometimes to push your hands together as well a find that off themselves helps with the squeeze and the contraction the TRX is over the shoulders are going to drag it over your shoulders and that’s the way is really find what works find the company spot give it a go if you’re watching this because you download my programs I hope it’s helpful to you if you’re watching this is because you want a variation it’s something different for your triceps then the Close Grip is really really good really good at target and you’ll feel it a little bit on your chest as well thanks for watching
