I always finish a TRX workout with isometric exercises. In this vid I explain the benefits to doing so and how you can easily incorporate them into your workouts.

And here’ the subtitle text in case you’d like to read the guidance:

hi guys TRX traveller Adam here in this state we’re going to do a quick little demonstration isometric holds for the biceps and triceps isometric holds is fantastic for strength gains cuz they incorporate massive amount of multi-units but also for muscle activation because he holding the muscle under tension for so much time so the great to do on the end of the bicep or tricep workout get to it ok so it’s really simple at the end of the bicep to tricep workout or entire arms workout if you incorporate these isometric and movements in maybe 10 second holes at a time for 3 sets and it’s going to activate the muscle at the end and really helps off deplete it to rebuild again and over the next 48 hours so it’s very simple get yourself into it for the biceps get yourself into it a TRX bicep and curl position and you really just want to pull on the handle of the hard as you can so remember when we were doing a curl we don’t and flex our wrists too much because you don’t bring the forearm into activation to keep the wrist quite straight if not a little bit bent back and what you’re going to do is you’re going to squeeze at the very top like this you can see I’ve created quite a bit of an angle with my feet and I’m squeezing as hard as I can risk the back and I’m really pulling and pulling pulling pulling and relax and then I’ll take a 6 second break 4 1 2 3 4 5 6 and get straight back to it and I pull oh I’m really trying to pull up your exercise I can and really squeezing and Tensai my biceps as hard as I can and I’m even at the top slightly supinating my wrists just so I can get that peak contraction squeeze so squeeze as hard you can hardly come out hard to come and relax you do 3 set to them 6×6 to 10 seconds squeezing relaxed or six or seven seconds squeeze 6 10 seconds it will really activate the muscle it’s a fantastic way to end an arms exercise and similarly other triceps you can put yourself into a a TRX school cross position or an extension and what you can do is as you reach the top bit here you can push push push and push down as hard as you can so I’m really trying to activate my triceps here by pushing down and pushing out it’s even even possible to do it in a neutral grip position like this of you hold the handles you can really squeeze at the top and push and relax and again just a few seconds relax and get straight back into it squeeze and relax like I say if the neutral grip you find activate enough go into it normal palms down grip and push up and squeeze and the idea is just a squeeze and push hard you can’t hard you can hard you can and relax there’s many other isolator moves you can do with the TRX these ones are great if you want to do a full upper body where you really push and push and push and semi with a back one there’s variations you can do like this pull them way stabilize with your hands or your quads and I did a separate video on that so the interest on North you know how it’s do an isometric hold with the TRX at the end of a workout check a few videos back cuz they’re also great again just want a full upper body muscle activation at the end of workout thanks for watching
