I’d live here with the noisy racoons as thy neighbour every-day of the week

Why Holbox?

10 unique photo spots for travelling Holbox. Whilst I found Holbox was still finding its feet in terms of what it is. By that I mean Valladolid has it’s small town colonial vibe, Tulum has it’s edgy hipster scene, Holbox has it’s… island? I couldn’t tell you but it’s still developing. Anyway, whilst I couldn’t put my finger on what Holbox is, it’s still a…

Pros and cons of travelling the Mahahual Coast

I’d found the perfect TRX spot and it was all mine.
Overview
I’m not often a one to write cons but I felt this one was worthy of mention. So to the pro’s and cons of travelling the Mahahual Coast line.
When I walked off the coach and onto the coast line I was a little sceptical. Aye it was nice, golden sands, blue water but there was a lot of beach front bars and a huge cruise ship off the coast…

Is it worth backpacking Isla Mujeres? Two men run along a jetty ready to jump in the water

Is it worth backpacking Isla Mujeres?

I felt like Mario bombing around this little island on a golf buggy. The pit stops being hidden Caribbean bars and beaches hidden amongst the woods.
Overview
So, is it worth backpacking Isla mujeres? Well, I crashed at Poc na hostel, being honest it’s the place to be. I was digging the private beach garden that’s yoga by day and a nightclub by, well night. Bang in the middle of the town centre too. The people were as you’d expect, party…

Sailing San Blas Islands the epic 5 day sea adventure

It’s mental to do this but also mental NOT TO DO this. I mean 5 days sailing from Panama to Colombia. On a small yacht in the open ocean. With a Colombian captain and a tiny hole to take a dump in? Sure.

Travelling Caye Caulker the tropical paradise

This place had the personality of a rock star mixed with the feel of a Caribbean island
Overview
Travelling Caye Caulker the tropical paradise. I snorkelled with with sharks and manatees, drank myself silly at THE GAP (mind the gap!) a space between two islands with a bar, grill and slides and partied at the sports bar till sun rise. This place is slow, like my grandma slow, bless her cotton socks. Ideal.
A view of the island water…

Backpacking Panama city? Here’s why I hated and loved it

Both times I’ve been here, I mainly just got hammered.
Overview
Backpacking Panama city? Here’s why I hated and loved it. Panama City was like Marmite for me. It’s huge expanse of business and crowds I hated, it’s old historic area with winding streets, atmospheric bars and a gym! A bloody gym! Loved.
After checking into Lunas Castle, great place with a popular backyard bar. I wandered round the old town grabbing a few (many) cheeky beers on roof tops and in…

One awesome reason to backpack Vinales

I lived with an old women who cooked me delicious, huge meals  mainly with steak. If she was single and on Tinder I would have married her.
Overview
One awesome reason to backpack Vinales. Staying in a casa, they’re more common than hostels, we were treated like royalty. I was here with my cousin who is Spanish, she conversed with the old lady about everything. She learnt her feelings towards Fiddel (he’d died the night before we arrived, selfish) the pros…
