3 TRX High Row Teaching Points below video…
1. Drive the elbows
Drive the elbows out and back and keep them just under 90 degrees from side of body.
The hands are just hooks. The elbows lead.
2. Stretch right out
Stretch right out at the bottom for a bigger range of motion by pulling the shoulder blades forward.
But, make sure to stretch and not simply ‘hang’ on the shoulder joint.
Tension is lost from the back muscles if hanging ❌
3. SUPER HARD SQUEEEEZE
SUPER HARD SQUEEEEZE pause at the top.
Really drive those elbows out and back to feel the upper back muscles contracting hard.
Close your eyes and visualise the muscles powerfully pulling the elbows back.
As always, slow and controlled tempo. Technique mastery preceding hard work.
